El Centro de la Raza Employees Represented by United Farm Workers of America

On June 30, 2003 a historic agreement was reached between El Centro de la Raza and the United Farm Workers of America - AFL-CIO. This agreement brings together two extraordinary organizations. Between them they have a combined 70-year history of painful but heroic struggles for the rights of all workers.

The two organizations are determined to create a gleaming example for other more traditional unions and community based organizations. They will strive to work together for a brighter future for everyone, and to make each other better by keeping each other accountable to the people they represent.
